Until 2002 Margrit Sprecher was head of ‘Leben heute’, a section of the Swiss weekly magazine Weltwoche and has since worked as a reporter for Die Zeit, NZZ-Folio, Reportagen and other magazines. She is co-editor of Schweizer Journalist, author of various books, including Die Kunst der grossen Reportage (The Art of Long-Form Journalism), and has received several awards, including the Hamburg Kisch Prize. She lives in Zurich.
