Mari Yamamoto started as an editor and journalist at the Japanese magazine TRANSIT magazine in 2006 and writes articles in both English and Japanese. In addition to being a journalist, she is also an actor, recently appearing in the award winning film, Jimami Tofu, as a food critic with a sharp tongue and a sharper pen. From 2015 to 2016 she wrote, directed and performed for the YouTube original web series “Nonalog”. She has worked as a Special Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and currently writes on a regular basis for The Daily Beast.
