Rosa María Calaf

Born in Barcelona on 17 June 1945, Rosa María Calaf graduated in law and journalism before working at Televisión Española from 1970 to 2009. She was TVE’s correspondent with the longest and most varied trajectory, spending 25 years of her career abroad in New York, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Rome, Vienna, Hong Kong and Beijing. She was a member of the founding team of the Catalan channel TV3 in 1982 and 1983. Now retired, she dedicates herself to teaching and publishing at schools, universities and associations and collaborates with various institutions and NGOs. He has visited 183 countries and continues to travel by four-wheel drive. She traveled Australia in 2010, South America in 2011, the United States, Alaska and Canada in 2012, Barcelona-Mongolia-Iran in 2013, Madagascar, Iceland and Greenland in 2014, Oman, the UAE and Qatar in in 2015, Ethiopia and Djibouti in 2016, and Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal and Gambia in 2017. She has won more than 30 awards and has been awarded three honorary doctorates.
