Serge Michel

Serge Michel was born in 1969 in the peaceful city of Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. This probably explains why, as soon as he had a driving license, he left to get into trouble with the ayatollahs in Iran, the Chinese in Africa and the journalists of Le Monde in Paris, of which he became the deputy director. He was awarded the Albert Londres Prize in 2001 for his work in Tehran and helped found the Bondy Blog in the French suburbs in 2005. Eager to get into trouble in Switzerland too, he returned to Geneva in 2018 to launch a new media outlet, Heidi.news.
